Winter 2018-2019 Wrestling

Grades K through 6th

This program is an introduction to wrestling where all participants learn the basic skills and moves of interscholastic wrestling. The wrestling sessions will be held in a clinic format with an occasional combined practice /scrimmage with another town(s).

There will be one weekly session as follows:
3rd – 6th grade, Mondays, 6 pm to 7:15 pm
K – 2nd grade, Wednesdays, 6 pm to 7:15 pm

Crossover to another session will not be allowed due to space and safety concerns.

All Practices are held in the Pleasantville High School Wrestling room.

For grades 3rd - 6th, practice will begin on Monday, December 10th and run thru Monday, March 4th. Coaches: Stephen Paternostro and Len Balducci

For grades K - 2nd, practice will begin on Wednesday, December 12th, and run thru Wednesday, February 27th. Coaches: Mike Marrone and Len Balducci

Depending on skill development, we may enter one or two tournaments as a team/individual throughout the year. We will hold our own youth tournament at Pleasantville High School in January 2019. All tournaments are optional.

COST- $200 ($75 Dad’s Club online registration fee PLUS a check for $125 to Coach Balducci at the first practice). Fee’s include wrestling t-shirt and shorts. Wrestlers are required to provide their own wrestling shoes. Only wrestling shoes will be allowed on the wrestling mats for hygiene reasons.

Tournament fees, if any and USA Wrestling membership (required for tournament participation) are an additional expense.

The program follows the school calendar/schedule. If school is canceled/closed or there is early dismissal because of weather, then practice is also canceled.

Winter 2018 -2019 Recreational Basketball

Dad's Club offers Recreational Basketball for Boys and Girls in Kindergarten through 6th Grade.

K - 2nd grade boys and girls is run in a clinic format on Saturday mornings in the Bedford Road School Gym (K-1st grade boys and girls, 8-9 am, and 2nd-grade boys and girls, 9-10 am).

Girls in grades 3rd/4th and 5th/6th play in a format where teams are formed each week and games are played after coach-led drills. This is the perfect environment for girls of all skill levels to get additional reps in a fun and moderately competitive game environment. This group meets Thursday evenings from 7– 8 pm in the BRS gym.

Boys in grades 3rd/4th and 5th/6th play in our Recreational League with evenly divided teams that remain set, including coaches, throughout the season. Practice is on Wednesday evenings and games are played on Saturday afternoons.

The Recreational season will tentatively begin Saturday, November 17th with our 4th Annual Tip-Off Clinic run by our Boys and Girls Varsity teams and coaches - Time TBD. Our season will conclude by February vacation week (weather permitting).

Welcome to Dad's Club Online Registration!

The mission of Dad's Club is to provide recreational sports programs for ALL children to teach skills development to build confidence and the concepts of teamwork and fair play.  Additionally, we are committed to providing competitive programs that enable those children who wish to play High School sports a platform to help them be better prepared for those challenges.

This registration site will allow you to store information so you do not have to repeat the process every time you register your children for a Dad's Club Sport. It will store the information for any number of children.  

New Users must register a username and password.  The username is an email address.  Use an email address you will use most often with Dad's Club sports.  The password is created by you.

Returning Users will have to remember the email address and password they stored when they initially registered.
